Andy doesn't have an official website yet, the next best thing at the moment is our excellent affiliated website: http://www.andymurraytennis.org

This messageboard is part of that site. andymurraytennis.org is run by our members Kate [who did the Murray-Ferrer commentary last week] and Lucy. They do a number of exclusive site features and the articles they write are really superb aswell

To Kate and Lucy, I have some more articles for exclusive features you could do on the site. I'll let you know via pm.

I think that Andy wants to let his back recover for the Masters Series events in Rome and Hamburg as they are really important.

Is he still planning to play in St Polten ?

No, he isn't on the entry list.

The Telegraph confirm what Kate found out:
From: http://www.telegraph.co.uk/sport/main.jhtml?xml=/sport/2006/05/01/stmurr01.xml&sSheet=/sport/2006/05/01/ixsport.html

Andy Murray has with-drawn from this week's clay-court tournament in Estoril, Portugal, citing a back injury which he is thought to have suffered at last week's event in Barcelona.

Taking a week off will allow the British 18-year-old the chance to rest ahead of back-to-back Masters Series events in Rome and Hamburg, with the Italian tournament starting next Monday. If he had played in Estoril it would have been the third of five consecutive weeks on the road, and the French Open and Wimbledon are fast approaching.

Murray had said before he was hurt that he might drop the small Estoril tournament from his hectic schedule; it was thought last night that his back injury will not stop him from playing in Rome and Hamburg, which are worth much more in ranking points and prize money.

I'm strong on 'Clear Communication'.  I enjoyed looking at the site and congrats to Kate & Lucy, and have I hope a constructive comment:-

How about calling this a 'Forum' which is about discussion (I cringe at 'messageboard'.)  And putting it on the left hand side of the 'Home' page as 'Forum' linking to here rather than burying it in the depths somewhere?

Tim

Hi Tim, we can't put a link on the side of the HP unfortunately, to do that you need to buy another page and you can only buy five at a time, not something I can afford right now. But I'l see what Lucy thinks about calling it a forum instead of a messageboard, I'm indifferent. Thanks for the suggestion!

Hi kate, I'll try and send my suggestions soon [ie either in the middle of the night or tomorrow]. Sorry about the delay and also apologies to everyone here for posting so infrequently in the past week or so - revision + loads of stuff to do on the Slabba and Baker/Fleming official websites is my excuse. Am getting on top of it now.
