Who knows what will happen in the long run, but Alexis Canter ran Tsitsipas much closer in the first set (lost tie break to 3) than I would have anticipated from an unseeded player.
How strange. The girls have been doing much better on the whole over the past 12 months but the boys have done better than the girls so far at Wimbledon.

You're right. I sometimes fear I'm being a bit harsh on Alexis (and Georgie Axon).
But this is a super score, it must have been VERY tight, and Alexis should be really encouraged.
A lot of tough round 2s. Finn and Ewan are on the same court as Jamie Murray, so should be streamed

R2
(WC) Ben Draper v Evan Furness (FRA)
(11) Jurabek Karimov (UZB) v Jay Clarke
(4) Mate Valkusz (HUN) v (WC) Luke Hammond
(WC) Finn Bass v (5) Denis Shapovalov (CAN)
(8) Geoffrey Blancaneaux (FRA) v Ryan James Storrie
(WC) Ewan Moore v (2) Ulises Blanch (USA)
Ryan is playing the Roland Garros Junior champion, who beat Jay at Roehampton, and is WR 709 in seniors and rising rapidly.
Ben Draper's opponent, Evan, is a rather easier draw - Ryan beat him in two quite recently, he's about WR 1600-ish, and he plays mainly on clay.
That said, Evan beat Jay's opponent twice recently - Karimov was going great guns, and is WR 754, but has had a bit of a hiccup in the last couple of months.
As you say, CD, four really horrendous draws: Blancaneaux, Blanch, Shapovalov, and Valkusz. Good to hear that at least one of them may be easier! Good luck to all.
Spectator, horrendous draws.??.... Are you forgetting this is 2nd round at Wimbledon? They have pretty good draws all things considered. Alexis, Alastair and Max were all beaten 1st round by players with high world rankings of 358, 599 and 662. Finn has the toughest match today against shapovalov WR374
Great to see so many boys through to the 2nd round, good luck to them all.
Ryan retired at 3-5 down in the 1st set, there was a long break at 3-3 previously. Not sure whether his match was streamed. He had a small back issue at Nottingham, so whether that was the reason for the retirement I don't know. Wish him a very speedy recovery.
Finn played a great 2nd set, had a couple of set points, but ultimately lost it 7-5. Jay's in a real battle in his match, trying to break back again to get into a 1st set TB.
