The final qualifying looks tough for both. Nathan Ponwith was top 20, but hasn't played as much juniors recently, while Enrico Dalle Valle qualified and won a round at Roehampton, and is in the ATP top 1000. Some Forumites will remember Nathan as the player Ryan Storrie beat 2 years ago to claim his first win in a G1

FQR

Enrico Dalle Valle (ITA) v (WC) Jack Tyler
(WC) Anton Matusevich v (10) Nathan Ponwith (USA)

The main draw is out and Alexis Canter cops the top seed. Alastair Gray has a seemingly tough draw against third seed Felix Auger-Aliassime (who Ryan edged out at Roehampton), with the winner potentially facing Nicola Kuhn. Ryan has a potential meeting with French Open champion Geoffrey Blancaneaux (who ended Jay Clarke's campaign this week) in round 2. The French lad won their previous clash on clay quite comfortably.

R1 (L64)

(1) Stefanos Tsitsipas (GRE) v (WC) Alexis Canter
(WC) Ben Draper v (Q)
Jay Clarke v Tomas Martin Etcheverry (ARG)
(WC) Luke Hammond v Dan Added (FRA)
Marvin Moeller (GER) v (WC) Finn Bass
(WC) Max Stewart v Daniel Altmaier (GER)
(WC) Aidan McHugh v Felipe Meligeni Rodrigues Alves (BRA)
(WC) Alastair Gray v (3) Felix Auger-Aliassime (CAN)
Ryan James Storrie v Jeffrey John Wolf (USA)
Ergi Kirkin (TUR) v (WC) Ewan Moore

Jay's 1st round draw looks 1/2 decent, and Ryan will be looking for revenge against JJW after losing to him at Notts last week.

The rain meant that Aidan was the only British junior to make it on court today. He lost 6-3 7-5, but showed resilience by saving 6 matchpoints.

I watched a bit of the second set of that match on the BBC stream. Aidan played pretty well - it was close.

Unfortunately the BBC decided to cancel three of the streams involving British players. However Ryan is being streamed and has just saved 4 breakpoints to hold for 2-1

Yes, I mean, why? What does it cost them, considering they'll need the streams tomorrow ? COuldn't they have just left them up?

But, c'mon Ryan - it's been a good battle so far....
