RE: Weeks 26 & 27 - Wimbledon 2016 (incl. Andy) (grass)

A couple of points here and there from Kyle, especially the 5-5 game in the second, might have made all the difference but fine margins matter such a lot at this level.

Agree, disappointing cry

Alex and Bryden are both out on court at the moment alongside James.

Well, that was a decent, honest performance from James.

Unlucky James, gave a really good account of himself once he got going, nice to see!

It's fair to say Alex isn't really a grass player. Goffin will win this in straights.

So if Mr Ward (J) beats Mr Djokovic, and Mr. Murray then beats Mr Ward (J) - or someone - in the final, then Mr Murray will only be about two grand slams behind Mr Djokovic in the rankings? Definitely catchable.

Well, nearly. If he hadn't had a 9 game lead, Mr Djokovic would have been in trouble there.

A good effort from James after the first 9 games. If he played with this level of intensity week in week out this defeat wouldn't have resulted in him dropping well outside the top 200.

 In trouble? Novak?

Never.

But it was a good match from James, no doubt.

Alex needed a really good draw (i.e a clay specialist) to have any chance of being competitive. If we are being honest his wild card was nothing more than a 30K funding boost, which given he progress this year was probably justifiable.

I actually think Alex is striking pretty well, but its very much one paced not much variation going on.
