Maia lost in two.

But Fran comes though 7-5 in the third - she's a battler, that girl.

And lovely win for Eden R too, in two sets.

Jodie has won in two sets - that'll be good extra points for her, and another move in her leap up the rankings.

Fran lost 6-4 6-4

Eden is on court, and up an early break

Jodie is a very good grass court player and I would expect her to progress to at least the semi finals.

With Gabi, Jodie and hopefully a fit Katie playing next week, we must have a really good chance of getting a player going deep in junior singles

Eden took the first set, but a break down in the second.

If Jodie wins her QF ( against Fran's conquerer, Taylor Johnson ), with her wins allied to the points Katie Swan will be dropping from here last year, for what is worth I believe she would become GB's top ranked junior, somewhere about the mid 20s in the rankings

Jodie is in theory due to possibly take up residence on Court 09 with her singles QF then doubles L16 and if that's won then doubles QF. Though the weather may rather curtail that plan.

Jodie came back to win one doubles (second presumably cancelled). Her SF opponent and top seed is 29-3 in Junior ITF matches and 10-0 (won 2 $10Ks) in Pros this year. Megan and Nell are currently on court against the top seeds but down an early break.

QF

Jodie Anna Burrage d. Taylor Johnson (USA) 6-1 6-2

SF

(1) Olesya Pervushina (RUS) v Jodie Anna Burrage

Seemingly, the second doubles match did in fact get played. And she won that too

QF: Jodie Anna BURRAGE (GBR) / Panna UDVARDY (HUN) [7] 6-3 6-4 Tatiana PIERI (ITA) / Lucrezia STEFANINI (ITA)

That's some day....

Jodie's SF against JR1 Pervushina is about to start, and there is a livescores link, here...

She lost 7-6, 6-4, but the score suggests a very tight match against a high class opponent.

Jodie+ won their doubles SF, and will play the no1 seeds, Pervushina and Potapova in the final.

How about this eyepopping.gif

Doubles Final

(7) Burrage/Udvardy (GBR/HUN) d. (1) Pervushina/Potapova 2-6 6-4 [15-13]

I only followed it from 10-10 but all the matchpoints from then were with the top seeds until 13-13
