Katie is still on the entry list for Eastbourne 50k week beginning 30th May the same week as RG juniors - does anyone think she may choose to play here over RG juniors?

Katie has withdrawn from Eastbourne (I guess she hadn't realised she had made the qualifying list and needed to make a decision).  Roland Garros is the only European ITF clay tournament where she has managed to win more than one singles match so far, and if the temperature rises, the conditions should suit her better there than here.

Doubles SF

(1) Pervushina/Potapova (RUS) v (5) Appleton/Swan

In the girls, the young American who beat katie has just lost 6-1 6-0

And the young American top seed, Anisimova, also lost.

Very unfairly, Pop and Perv have played loads of singles today, but still have to play doubles against Katie and Emily, starting nowish.

Well done, the organisers.

The Russians have won four singles matches between them today, and don't look as if they want to kick the winning habit - they have just taken the second set 6-1

The Russians took a 5-1 lead in the MTB but were hauled back to 7-7 before nicking it at the death
