The Frenchman despatched the q8, Lajovic, in straight sets in QR1.

Apart from the previously discussed fact that a Masters 24 pair draw leaves some pretty strong pairs not able to get in, giving the top 8 seeds byes to the L16 can fling them straight into a pretty tough match for 180 points or zilch. In Madrid Jamie & Bruno got zilch, hopefully at least 180 this time.
