Boys: ITF/CAT Junior, Tunisia - hard - Grade 3 (Week 16)

In the QFs, Jake gets the top seed but it's already his best result at G3 level:

R1:

Jake HERSEY (GBR) [7]     6-3  7-5     Youssef DABBABI (TUN)

R2:

Jake HERSEY (GBR) [7]   4-6  6-2  6-1   Damien WENGER (SUI)

Jake also played two doubles today (as well as the R2 singles), winning the first but losing to the top seeds in the QFs.

R1:

Simon CARR (IRL) / Jake HERSEY (GBR)     6-1 6-1     Mohamed Selim BEN ALI (TUN) / Zakaria BEN BRAHIM (TUN)

QF:

Vladyslav LOBAK (UKR) / Alexey ZAKHAROV (RUS) [1]     6-2 6-2     Simon CARR (IRL) / Jake HERSEY (GBR)

Slight tangent but - for our Irish friends - just a quick congrats to unseeded young Irishman, Simon Carr, age 16, who lifted the title in Tunisia this week.

Final

Simon CARR (IRL) 6-2 6-4 Alexey ZAKHAROV (RUS) [3]
