Girls: Nike Junior International Nottingham (week 2), hard - Grade 4 (Week 16)

Nell Miller has the chance of a second Nottingham title, but the opposition should be strengthened by the addition of Eden Richardson to the first week field. Draw should be up soon at http://www.itftennis.com/juniors/tournaments/tournament/info.aspx?tournamentid=1100036302

What's a (16E) entry ? is this a special exempt thing of some sort? Daria Frayman (RUS) has one, never seen it before.

Wildcards go to young Annalli Olivelle (who I believe is one of the LTA supported ones, though I might be out of date); young Holly Staff; 14 year-old Teigan Aitken; 13 year-old Victoria Subev (after her good run at the U14 Notts event last week); Monica Raviraj; Alisha Reayer; Clara Tauson (DEN) and 14 year-old Sonay Kartal (after her good run last week at the ITF 1)

Members of teams who do well in the junior fed and Davis cups get direct entry into a certain no of main draws within the following year.

Also, the highest ranking 16yo (not sure how or at what point in the year this is calculated) within each of the 7 ITF competition regions gets the same.

I've never seen one used in a G4 before.  I thought the tournaments they could choose from were all G1, G2 or G3.

I quite often come across 16 Exempts, but like you haven't seen one in a G4 before. Daria Frayman is a very highly rated under 14, who did sufficiently well in TE events last year to finish 5th in the under 16 rankings. That earned her some G3 exempts, but clearly she has opted to use one in a lower level tournament (she has only played one tournament, a G5 which she won last month - after the entry deadline for Nottingham  ).  Her second round match with Eden could be a highlight of tomorrow.

The two Richardson sisters will now play other.

Only 6 (out of 16) British girls left, which is rather a disappointment.

But Eden and Nell are the two top seeds (and rightly so, I reckon) so hopefully the big points will go our way

Not sure if you are being ironic but Eden and Erin are not sisters.

The foreign girls left are quite strong so not too surprising to see so many through to last 16.

Absolutely spot on Kenneth.

I'm surprised there's ever been this confusion as Eden plays for Cheshire and Erin for Dorset.

Only a couple of hundred miles difference smile

However, it's a great opportunity for Erin to play one of the UK's decent players.

Nell lost out which is a bit of a surprise but you can't win every match ....

In the UNRELATED Richardson battle (), Eden came you top.

Nice win for Maria Budin. Just Anna's result to come....

The Swede put out Ellie Griffiths in 3 in the last round and Nell in this round, so very capable

yes, but she lost in R1 last week to Georgie Walker who's only ranked 900 or so

And in the doubles virtually a GBR lockout with 7 of 8 pairings.

The unrelated Richardson sisters will do battle again.
