Not the best performance from either player, but Katie was the better of the two for most of the match. There was a point at *2-1 40-30 where Katie had an open court to aim for at mid court, Robillard-Millette went the wrong way, but Katie hit the net and ultimately got broken. I was a little worried that point could cost her as Robillard-Millette was beginning to improve. Thankfully she managed to serve it out in straight sets at the second attempt.
The stream was fine for more or less the whole of the first set and the first half of the second set, but it was getting a little dodgy towards the end.
Anna Blinkova is the Wimbledon finalist who can be very flaky on serve under pressure - served for the match 6 times against Tornado Black in the quarters there. This year Anna has moved into the WTA top 500 after winning a 10K and reaching the semifinals of a 50K event.
Final is not before 12.30 (=05.30 BST). As the preview article www.itftennis.com/news/226832.aspx points out Katie actually edged Anna 76 in the third en route to the Madrid $10K title in September
