I'm not saying this because of what happened on Belgium this week, more on what has happened in other parts of the world but is it such a great idea to go to Uzbekistan to play kids tennis in the current climate? Foreign office advice on places like this arent exactly comforting either having just looked.

Just can't see the logic really.

When was the last time you heard about a terrorist attack in Uzbekistan? These attacks can happen anywhere, as we have seen in recent weeks, and they seem to be predominantly targeting Turkey and Western Europe. I'd say Uzbekistan is probably one of the best places to be right now.

The terrorist threat level in the UK is higher than it is in Uzbekistan right now.

NB I make it that Jodie will now be into the top 100 with no trouble (even if she loses the final).

She should be, but needs to win the final to have any chance of avoiding dropping back out in 2 weeks due to doubles points coming off from last year (next tournament entered is in 3 weeks time). Georgie's conqueror is the other finalist.

Girls F

Anna Kubareva (BLR) v (6) Jodie Anna Burrage

Looks like it all hinged on that TB in the second set ..... :(

Girls Final

Anna Kubareva (BLR) def. (6) Jodie Anna Burrage 3-6 7-6(3) 6-2

But a very good week, Jodie, and from the others too.
