You are probably safer just writing it off as being in Indian Wells. His record here is pretty dreadful and even when he has gone deep it has been a real struggle.

Yes, fair point.
He has managed to do just well enough here though, and of course massively better in Miami, that, with Johanna still alive, I think this may be the first time Andy is not last Brit standing in singles of a multi-week event since the days of Tim & Greg!

To be expected really after his break for the birth of his daughter and then straight back into a DC win on a weeks preparation; a couple of weeks of practice in his second home in Miami will do no harm what so ever. Time to regroup and focus on the next one. Is that germaine enough? There is only so much juice in the tank, emotional and physical, even Andy's.
