Boys & Girls: 8th Fujairah Tennis & CC ITF Junior Championships, UAE, hard - Grade 4 (Week 3)

Two boys through the qualis:

FQR:

Remus Cope is also in the main draw. Emile Hudd is also on the list but not in the draw (he retired, I think, in his doubles last week).

Donia and Gemma are in the MD for the girls.

Happy for young Brandon (who had a rough draw but came so close to beating the 2nd seed last week) - that's a few more points and another jump in the rankings (at least 100) to add to the 51 places from last week (off the doubles).

As said before, Brandon has the most amazing arm speed/acceleration/relaxation - it's quite uncommon. (No luck for the other two boys).

R1 Boys:

Brandon MURPHY (GBR) def. Alvaro BUENO GIL (ESP) 7-5 6-1

Carlos KELAIDIS (SUI) def. Remus COPE (GBR) 7-6(5) 6-3

Mousa ALKOTOP (JOR) def. Jack MIDDLETON (GBR) 6-2 6-3

Remus and Brandon lost their doubles, but Donia & Gemma won theirs.

Poor Gemma has got injured, or is sick.

She lost her single match, 3-6 - Retired.

And then pulled out of her doubles match with Donia.

Wising you a speedy recuperation, Gem !
