A straight sets defeat in an hour with 11 double faults, Joss and Anna will do well to forget that one as soon as possible - they can't afford to have Georgia on their mind going into a deciding rubber tomorrow.
Judy will presumably need to make a call...Heather plus the lesser offender...if the dubs is a live rubber tomorrow.
At least today has highlighted the issue so that's no bad thing.

I've had an impression, perhaps unfairly, that Anna's serve is not the strongest aspect of their combined game. Perhaps Judy/Louis have been trying to get her to tweak it a bit, and it hasn't settled down, or plain hasn't worked.
Shame that Anna has now lost her 100% winning record in the Fed Cup.
Seems odd to have a bit of a meltdown in a dead rubber, with much less pressure.
(I have no idea, by the way, if Anna was the more guilty party. Pure blind prejudice.)
Very pleased to see things working out so well on the singles front, easy to say in retrospect but regardless of Jokos fitness pretty sensible and proactive re medium term team and individual development to give Katie experience last year and a run here, she looked very competitive at Wimbledon qualifying against the type of players we are seeing here (a different class to our other girls not in the main draw) and only likely to improve, lots!
Joko has earn't the privileges afforded Andy in terms of being given time to rest and recuperate unless we are playing at a level consistent with that at which she is playing.
It would be very nice to see this team pull us clear of the euro Africa zone although I think if we are to progress beyond that level we are likely to have use singles players in the doubles.
Judy obviously has first hand understanding of how the Davis cup team evolved over the last 5 years and although has the major disadvantage of not having any of her own offspring available I think she has greater depth; potentially three top 50 players, add to that a resurgent Laura and maybe someone from our decent crop of girls between 12-16 and regardless of what happens here the future is looking rosie.

Wasted on us!
If you think that's obscure I'm glad I resisted the temptation when predicting Lloyd's year end ranking to add 'I'm ready to be heartbroken'
