RE: Fed Cup 2016 - Europe/Africa Group 1

Heather gets the early break, but then loses it straight away to 0.

I found a tweet saying that Gorgodze was apparently complaining big time to the umpire about the balls moving too slowly. If this was the case, I would have thought this would have been more of a hindrance to Katie anyway, especially if Gorgodze does well on the slower clay courts.

All good so far.

I remember about this time last year Judy talking up the chances of the then 15 yo Katie Swan being involved in the 2016 Fed Cup. I did think stupid woman getting ahead of herself.

Anyway, well done our GB #2 winning again.

Shapatava is absolutely nowhere this match. Heather goes a break up and looks like she will seal it for GB without the need of the doubles tie.

3-0*

Shapatava's service stats are dreadful. Don't know how much of that is down to Heather's game though.

I think Heather's determination to take the fastest match victory away from Katie on her debut is a little rude. :P

Anyway, Heather breaks again. *4-0

Victory to Heather and GB!!!

6-2 6-0

They've done what we all kind of expected. Next is the tough one.

Very convincing win - Heather was always going to win this one, but nice to do so in emphatic fashion.

Two matches we very much expected to win, but even so the ease at which we have done so has been impressive.

Looking very much like Belgium tomorrow - we will be underdogs but not without a chance to qualify.

Van Uytvanck and Pronkers still looking good for a four-hour classic. First set to Belgium after 52 minutes.

GB must be happy to be back in Eilat - they've now played 10 ties in Israel with Judy as captain and won the lot
