Looks to be a good effort by Emily against the second seed Maria Carle, who won a G3 recently and has scalped a top 20 junior. Currently Emily leads 7-5 2-6 3*-2

Galfi looks like finishing junior no.1. Into the semi finals along side the 14yr old Russian, Potapova who is flying up the rankings and will be a major contender for junior no.1 next year.

Galfi will be junior number 1 as a semi final appearance will take her past Vondrousova on 1168.75, even with the mysterious extra 45 points that Vondrousova somehow has on the rankings page but not on her profile page. Does anyone know where they are from?

Welcome

Looking at the breakdown of Vondrousova's 1140 points on her profile, all her counting tournaments do appear to have been assigned the correct points so that does look to be the right one.

Maybe the 1185 points score has overcounted some tournament. As paulisi refers to, Katie Swan was recently temporarily over rewarded for the recent Mexican Grade A, but that's now sorted.

Anyway, Vondrousova is about to drop a chunk of points from last year's Orange Bowl to drop her back anyway.
