RE: Boys & Girls: Abierto Juvenil Mexicano, clay - Grade A (Week 46)

Apart from being 14, the other astonishing thing about Amanda Anisimova is that she was ranked 398 and still got in direct to a grade A and a grade 1 this week....

Its getting quite tragic with Katie and these big junior titles now.

Steady !

A junior Grade A yes and pity about the final outcome yes, but I'm sure not at all as meaningful as a junior Slam and all worthwhile experience, this on clay, for the 16 yo going forward.

As for losing quite a few junior finals, she's won the two ITF 10K singles finals that she's so far reached in this her first year of adding in senior tournaments.

Hence why I said big junior titles. She's not won one junior final when she's reached 4 big finals now. The last 2 she's been the favourite going in. To be fair she wasn't playing all that well this week from the bits I saw but still managed to win mainly due to some big serving and fight which is a good sign.
