Comfortable wins so far for Luke Purser and Emily Appleton. And a loss for Chelsea against the second seed.

An 'upset', as Ben Draper, seeded third, loses in two sets.

A nice win though for Louis Newman, against the 8th seed.

And qualifier Constandena, (now THAT'S a good name), lost but posted 4-6 6-7(2) against the 5th seed - very respectable.

a loss for Daniel Bennett v the 7th seed but wins for Perrin and Molloy, seeded 1 and 2 respectively.

In the other two singles matches today, a nice win for Luke P against the fifth seed, and a loss in three for Louis:

Getting to the business end and it gets trickier . ..

Emily Appleton lost to a girl the same age but 70 place higher-ranked (seeded three).

Luke Purser lost to the fourth seed, again the same age, but ranked about 400 places higher.

But both players were Cypriots and I always think, if you're going lose, it's nice to lose to a home player in a small country's tournament.

And our other two players in the singles also lost out today, making a grand zero out of four.

Quarterfinal Boys

However, in the doubles, Em App is into the semis, as are Molloy/Draper and Louis Newman, playing with an Italian.
