Didn't see the heptathlon coverage.

I really like KJT, tremendous prospect beyond what she is already. I was gutted for her when she just missed the indoor ( pentathlon ? ) WR earlier in the year. Though after looking a bit stunned and annoyed afterwards, I loved her interview along the lines "my coach told me this was my chance to make history and I err didn't".

But to foul all 3 long jumps is not clever !!

Agree with you on BBC, I've flicked back and forth to Eurosport a lot when they go back to the studio. I do enjoy listening to Michael Johnson though, he seems to talk a lot of sense or at least gives the impression that he does.

Guess Porter must have be in with a chance of a medal too?

I'm not a great lover of field events, but yeah the analysis of KJT's performance was overdone. I think Daley T was in particular was a bit over the top.

I think the coverage has been affected by Gabi and crew not being in Beijing, meaning that they're getting analysis from the guys in Beijing and Micheal and co in Salford.

I think Christine is running for bronze, but you never know with her, as she really lifts her game for the majors.

Like to see KJT do something special in the LJ, and hopefully Dina will do something similar in the 200. Don't rule out Ms Child's either, she messed up her semi, and she could easily get 4th/5th.

Also have to say there have been some crazy times by the Kenyans in the 400m hurdles. And a very strange heat in the 400 men's where Rooney broke his PB from nowhere, and 2 others broke 44 seconds. None of those 3 athletes could get anywhere near those times in the semis.

 I've been very impressed by Miller, the young Bahamian, looks a massive talent. Not sure how much quicker Christine will go, maybe 49.8 at a guess for me.

 Funnily enough two minor Kenyans who compete over 400m or hurdles have been caught at the championships and suspended.

Given the Russians have no team of note in Beijing due to suspensions and a cleaning up in the sport in their country, will Kenya be next? There are lots of speculation about corruption, blood doping and EPO within the Kenyan federation and the fact they don't(or didn't) have an independent drug testing facility within the country.

A bit of a shame for Christine - that semi must have taken it out of her.

As for Dina - if she can keep the form going a medal and a new GB record are looking good.

Expecting a medal and a new GB record in the long jump for one of the British girls, don't ask me which one, they are all capable....
