There are a lot of low-ranked ITF events this week, with one or two GB representatives taking pary. The French G4 will have a thread of its own as there are several players, especially girls, there. And, of course, the big events in Hungary and, in particular, North America... But for the rest:
In the G5 in Macedonia, Soto's Ryan Gaskin has won his first round. Aleksandra Topalevic and Summer yardley still to play.
In Kyrgyzstan (??), Zeki Horoz is playing today.
In the G5 in Jordan, Karim Najia (born 2000) lost in the first round against the top seed (nice to see him up 150 places in the rankings this week, though).
After her great run last week, Jizel is up +879 places, to 1255. As a player born in 2001, she is now the third best ranked GB player for her age (using ITF junior rankings).
That looks like going further this week as she won today in Jordan:
According to the sites, Jizel is a late starter, with great physical, sporting attributes and good mental strength. Trains at Sutton, I believe. Good luck to her this week.
British representation at the G5 in Sweden too. And in Argentina. And Slovenia.
Aleksandra Topalevic also won her R1 match in Macedonia, getting her first ITF singles points. (She seems to live out there, given where she plays, which might not be surprising given her name - maybe her mother is English?).
In Argentina, Kelly lost against the second seed, 2 & 4
In Macedonia, Ryan and Aleksandra also lost out, Summer still to play.
Jizel+ retired in the doubles, in Jordan, which might imply she is carrying some sort of injury, having played so many matches in the last two weeks. Hope all's well.
In Kyrgyzstan, Zeki's had a blinder - played three matches, won three matches, including 6 close sets of singles, beating the 6th seed, and pulverising the 3rd seed doubles:
