Andy won6-4, 7-6(1). Any insomniacs see the match to say how he played - score looks fairly tight (Although pleased for Mr F if he made a match of it).
Certainly not one of Andy's classic performances but he got the job done. Fish had nothing to lose and the crowd behind him, Murray seemed a little mentally fatigued, Fish served for the second set at least once, but Murray stepped up the gears in the second set tie break. As previously said, it was nice to see Fish out there again, Murray said some nice stuff to him at the end of the match.
Didn't see any of the match, but saw some of the latter scoring.
There were 9 breaks in all ( 5-4 to Andy ) and as well as being broken at *5-5 in the second set to break straight back for the TB he had earlier in the set been broken at *3-3 and broke straight back.
So bit strange, but the breakbacks and TB give the impression of doing it when he had to ( although maybe partly Mardy not ).
R2/L32 : (3) Andy Murray WR 2 beat (WC) Mardy Fish (USA) WR 1034 (CH 7 08/11) 6-4 7-6(1)
R3/L16 : (3) Andy Murray WR 2 vs (16) Grigor Dimitrov (BUL) WR 17 (CH 8 08/14)
H2H is 5-2 ( hard 5-1, grass 0-1 ). Last meeting a 4 sets win for Andy at this year's Aussie Open.
Glad it was a competitive match - it is good to see Mr Fish go out on his own terms (though if he continues to play this strongly, he may wonder if he's doing the right thing going out!)
Against Dimitrov in a night match with "possible court change" but currently booked for court 3. Really? Number 2 in the world, doing all their publicity and still hasn't made it onto the centre court? (Djokovic, Nadal and Federer all on centre today) Humph.
On the other hand, they're doing a decent job of getting women onto show courts, so that's at least something.
The first time I read down that schedule, seriously just before I got to Dimitrov vs Andy ( or Mardy as it still read then ) I was starting to bemoan my stupidity in missing him.
PS : I no longer see "possible court change" - maybe that was just for Mardy !

Well, that's parallel experiences, Indy. I was reading the schedule for the day and when I got through the two show courts, wondered if for some reason he had the day off. But no, that wasn't the case. Really do think this is shabby.
Madeline, are you sure it will be Car Park 2? I think there may also be a Car Park 3 ....
Ah, Karlovic vs Wawrinka on Grandstand, 4-3*, 85% and 87% first serve points won respectively, 8 aces in 4 service games by Ivo, not a BP for either yet.
This is what the peeps want, proper man's game, you can save all your fancy dan stuff from the likes of Murray and Dimitrov

The Djokovic match is looking worth watching at the moment. I wonder what's the greatest number of consecutive games he's lost since becoming World #1.
