Unfortunately Luke Purser and Alistair Gray lost today. Didn't see it but surprised Alistair lost to a guy Hammond duffed up last week. Luke Hammond and Jack Burkill won singles and doubles.

Luke Purser lost doubles with different partner. Alistair decided not to play doubles this week.

Jack Burkill put up a strong fight against the second seed before falling 7-5 6-2.

Luke Hammond beat the other South African 6-4 in the third (wrong on itf site).

The boys won their doubles today 6-2 6-0 to set up a semi-final against the boys they played today in singles.

Success in singles for Luke, through to play a Kenyan who he beat comfortably last week, but the South African top seeds ended Luke & Jack's long unbeaten doubles run

(9) Luke Hammond d. Matthew Johnson (RSA) 6-3 6-4

SF

(9) Luke Hammond v (12) Kevin Cheruiyot (KEN)

Luke repeats his success over the Kenyan and makes a third successive final. The opposition this time though appears stronger than in the last 2 finals. Top seed Damon Kesaris is also on a 14 match winning streak and has been untroubled here

SF

(9) Luke Hammond d. (12) Kevin Cheruiyot (KEN) 6-4 6-0

(1) Damon Kesaris (RSA) v (9) Luke Hammond

Looking at the various photos, Luke must be the REALLY tall young bloke, I assume . . . .

Goodness, his parents fed him well

Big congrats to him, and his team-mates, and coach, and school - VERY successful trip

(Think Luke will be about WR 210 when all this goes on, which - given he was well outside the top 500 before this tour - is quite an achievement).

Yep Luke is a REALLY tall bloke. Six foot six to be exact. He gets asked a lot!

Cracking final today. Under time pressure due to flight....Luke managed to sneak the second set and saving it from going to a third. Opponent not happy with a few lines calls including match point....match balls ended up out of the tennis club.

Awesome few weeks for Team Millfield. From two girls getting their first points to the six titles we're bringing back.

Hope the bit of background info was interesting.

Great to have a bit of colour - do chip in on any future Team Millfield trips where we are covering the tournaments

For completeness
