Stuart Fraser from the Mail said (on Twitter) "Andy Murray knocked out in his singles opener in Washington as Teymuraz Gabashvili plays the match of his life to win 6-4 4-6 7-6."
I find it so disrespectful when the media comes out with comments like this. Match of his life? How many times has he watched Gabashvili play to make a comment like that?
Well, to be honest, it's tons better than 'Andy crashes out of Washington to unknown journeyman' or 'Andy in slump with worrying loss of form pre-US Open' or a thousand and one permutations of the 'go for the jugular just because someone loses one single match' sort of twitter.
At least he's said that Gab. was playing brilliantly and he's not trying to make a mountain out of a moelhill.
I do find it baffling that he has signed up to play doubles again next week, this time with Paes. I just don't know what he is going to get from it and he runs the risk of overplaying.
