French media and ( significant numbers of ) crowds - BOO to you back !
Put up anything, just anything, with some credibility or shut up.
Sky's sheer professionalism ( not meant as any sort of euphemism ) is not a crime. Guess Chris Froome just doesn't ride for such an err renowned team as Astana, the team of the much better received 2014 winner, Vincenzo Nibali.
Anyway, try to not embarrass yourselves as Froome once again wins Le Tour tomorrow.

Anyone watch what just went down in the time trial????
Absolutely amazing stage - the young Slovenian just blew everyone away and the poor leader - your heart breaks for him but what went wrong on that climb????
This is completely the right call in a farcical episode. Team Ineos/Sky and Brailsford , Wiggins etc now need investigating and hopefully the real truth of this scandal needs to be shown up for what it is.
Old story - it has taken 4/5 years for Freeman to be found guilty, but most cycling enthusiasts have known about this for sometime.
What they haven't got is evidence of which riders were involved.
GB cycling don't won't to get involved for obvious reasons...

Its a long standing saga but the striking off is clearly todays news. Understand there is no evidence or maybe proof yet. But Im sure most fans and experts know.
Cyclings reputation as the premier bastion of pharmaceutical enhancement is well deserved, it is probably the easiest sport in which to demonstrate the fundamentals of ones own biochemistry. Eat nothing go out for a couple of hours on your bike and you will bonk, hit the wall. Eat as you go and you can keep plodding on in relative comfort, even a very average cyclist can see how ones own physiology and capacity to exercise can be tweaked by what and when you take nutrients and what ever else on board. The early tours where populated by working class athletes with pretty basic kit probably taking what ever to get round. The tour is so brutal it has always been so.
I really enjoyed Christophe Bassons book A CLEAN BREAK which clearly predicts how history would reveal a complete lack of irony in Brailsford jibe against the French in 2012, that British cycling had specially rounded wheels. I really dont know how I would feel if my kid was pursuing a career as an elite cyclist as I think rounding of the bodies biochemistry is a prerequisite of elite participation. I used to rush home from school to watch Robert Miller chase the polka dot jersey. It has taken me a couple of decades to come to terms with how teams & cyclists prepare and fuel for the tour, stopped watching it during the Armstrong years & then started again for a bit with team sky until their domination suggested the roundest wheels ever and then binned it completely.
Commuting by bike during COVID has re-stimulated my interest and watching the fledgling careers of some Brit youngsters is sorely tempting. I just wish for them it was a clean sport unfortunately winning is everything and as Bassons states the only prize for cycling clean is your health, conscience and a life long love of sporting participation which is normally the preserve of amateurs alongside an empty trophy cabinet.
Do love Brittany and in the distant past have cycled many of the roads covered over the first 3 days of the tour so I have been sucked in to this years tour big time and Eurosport are doing a great job of presenting it. Horrendous crashes yesterday have not quite disrupted world order just established it earlier.
The Brits have taken a hit, Froome literally and it looks like neither Thomas or Geoghegan Hart will be a GC threat and there is a distinct possibility unless Richard Carapaz (the most famous equatorial since Ulysses De La Cruz hits his straps) that INEOS Grenadiers despite the biggest budget will be irrelevant to the GC.
Another day of chaos high speed crash after crash GC classification all over the place. Broken bones, dislocated shoulders and a hell of a lot of road rash. Breath taking racing
