Boys & Girls: 2015 European Junior Championships, Klosters, Switzerland, clay - Grade B1 (Week 29)

While our 2 boys will be hard pressed to make much progress (Ryan Storrie will play Mikael Ymer in round 2 if he wins his opener) both our girls are seeded to reach the last 16. However Emily will have to overcome someone who is top 500 WTA in her opener, and Maia faces a tough second match. Emily is defending champion in the doubles (won with Freya Christie last year) and that again is the main hope of success.

Boys R1 (L128)

Jay Clarke v Bogdan Borza (ROU)

Filip Grbic (SRB) v Ryan James Storrie

Girls R2 (L64)

Melis Bayraktaroglu (TUR) v (15) Maia Lumsden

Valentini Grammatikopoulou (GRE) v (11) Emily Arbuthnott

Ryan and jay also won their doubles, and are into the last 16, which is where the points start in a B1 (20 points)

Really good effort by Ryan against M Ymer, who is seeded two and won an adult ITF 10k back in May.

But eventually lost 3-6 6-3 6-3

Good effort from Maia against someone who has won 3/4 of her Pro matches this year, including a couple of $10K titles.

Viktoria Kuzmova (SVK) d. (15) Maia Lumsden 7-6(3) 6-4
