I know they're not juniors as such, but as it's students (technically) and male and female together, it seemed to fit better here than as two separate entries in the 'pro tennis' men and women thread.
Thanks Coup, I wonder how they selected the team? I would have thought the team who wins the BUCS championships gets to play to represent a British Uni, rather than random players who are at different universities around the world. Although I guess the US must have all the strongest teams over there with the amount of bursaries they give out.
No B2W, it's not a games between different universities, it's a games between nations with teams made up of their nationals who are university students as defined in the games rules. The LTA emailed those who were of the right age group, set out the qualifying criteria and asked them to apply if they wanted to be considered for the team. Not sure how they then picked the team from those that were interested.
Curious to know how Salisbury counts as a student when I though he graduated last spring/summer (2014) and has been on the pro tour for the last 12 months?
NB In round three, Mark Whitehouse lost out in two very tight sets.

British students (no matter where they study) attended selection days at the NTC. Selection was based on previous results at BUCS championships and representative matches. Results from matches at Universities Overseas were also reviewed. The daily schedule can be found at FISU.net with videos from most sports and a full section on Tennis and also on the BUCS Facebook site.
