Pushing back Wimbledon means the Scottish Grade 5 takes place during the same week, and Megan Davies plus Camille Verden Anderson are the top seeds here
13 year-old Gemma Heath is continuing to create a stir, putting out the fifth seed.
French player Juliette Collard (age 14, whom I know very well) has also beaten sixth seed, Alex Hunter after having beaten fourth seed, Holly H, yesterday.
To be fair, Megan's results don't necessarily indicate she'd have much success in grade 2/3.
Megan has only ever played grade 4 and 5 and when I saw her in a strong Grade 5 she has head and shoulders ahead of anyone and the like of Eli-Rose Griffiths, Nell Miller and Eliz Maloney were all playing.
This is only her third tournament this year, so I assume either injuries, exams or finances have been the issue
Gemma becomes I think the youngest Brit to win her maiden ITF in the last decade (There are a handful of younger winners, with Tara Moore at 13yrs 2 months the youngest, but they had all played at least one tournament previously. Other girls such as Eleanor Dean won their maiden ITF, but not at 13, unless I have missed someone)
