Now it's *4-0 Kuzmova, you've got to feel that's that.

Sad exit for her.

Lost 6-7, 0-6. Apparently suffering from an abdominal problem.

Well she wasn't 100% before R1 so getting 3 wins a bonus; hope she hasn't aggravated something

Kuzmova looked a pretty good player. Not sure how much a part the injury played for Katie. She fought hard to recover from the early break but apart from that, it was rather ugly with only the occasional good shot, or combination of shots.

Kuzmova was an OK player - nothing special compared to the others I watched today. Katie just didn't play well today.

Her service speed was a bit down from yesterday, she also looked a bit nervous, and we don't know how much the injury is affecting her, but it certainly was a below par performance. I'm from the camp thinking it's probably beneficial that she hasn't won this week, as at the moment she is only known in the tennis world, so should be able to develop away from the public eye, without the added pressure of winning junior Wimby.

I think Katie needs to take a bit of time out, sort out the injury and look at her schedule for the year.

I'm guessing the only junior tournaments she will play this year are the warm up for the US Open, the US Open and a warm up to the Orange Bowl and the Orange Bowl. The rest of the time she should be looking to play some game on the main tour where possible.

Agreed; winning it next year will be soon enough wink

Disappointing for Katie, but it sounds as though the injury from Roehampton has resurfaced and in that case it's probably a good thing she doesn't have a Wimbledon semi-final to worry about where I'm sure she would have been tempted to play even if a bit injured.

Good that we got to see her play at least one streamed match where she was fully fit and I was impressed with her serve, forehand and general composure on court and in interviews.

Agree that she should be starting to mix in a few more ITFs with junior events (once fully fit of course). Maybe she could even join Laura in a couple of the US events coming up.

Well done Ms Christie and Ms Brogan! And all the best to Ms Swan for a rapid and full recovery.
