I was thinking about this too... hopefully Muguruza's run will give further confidence to Jo about her own game/potential.

 

Side note: Amanda Carreras defeated a young(er) Garbine in 2009 to win her first 10K in Turkey.

 

Plus, of course, the other finalist, Serena, had some difficulties against Heather in Wimbledon itself.

Very well done to Jordanne Whiley & Yui Kamiji.
Today, in an excellent match, they exacted revenge over the Dutch pair that had bested them at Roland Garros.
Thus, yet another title - 6 out of the last 7 Grand Slams, together. Rather excellent.
