I think it boils down to lack of matches given that she was just back playing.

Excellent run though regardless.

Just three of the top 5 ranked juniors made the semis, as Ingrid Neel upset Shilin Xu in the other quarter-final (though Neel is slightly higher ranked WTA and lists grass as her favourite surface)

Sad to say that Katie has given Vondrousova a walkover.

I hope she'll be okay for next week. It may have been a mistake to continue playing here after she had an injury time-out in singles a couple of days ago, and withdrew from the doubles.

Very frustrating for Katie but it such a relentless physically demanding bussiness learning to listen to your body is a major part of it.
