60 points to 41 - that's a REALLY convincing win. Well done, Tara

I thought Tara Pliskova could be interesting - certainly was! Well done Tara - very encouraging signs so far - keep it up!

Tara wins 6-1 6-2 biggrin Very useful points for her and the quarter final should be later today.

Good - she needs the ranking points and I get the impression from some of the recent results, Tara is returning back to form.

Fantastic. And at least 20 points to boot. Hope this gives her the confidence to give Kudryavtseva (probably) a good match later this afternoon.

Great to see Tara getting back into her real game in time for the grass court season - she was good in it last year without much reward, would be great if she can prosper this time with reward.

And here's to Naomi doing the same . . .

I take on board everything that people say about Océane, and completely endorse it, but I still feel that she has very little knowledge of playing on grass (although she'll learn fast) and Naomi has a bizarre game, difficult to read for a youngster not used to it . . . Go, naomi !

Hands up who saw that coming. Great result for Tara.

Unfortunately she was defending some points this week, but she should still move up 10 places or so. Live-tennis have her about 392

QF:  (Q) Tara Moore WR 401 (CH = 183 in August 2013) vs (6) Alla Kudryavtseva (RUS) WR 128 (CH = 56 in October 2010)

Given the ease with which Miss Moore despatched the fourth seed, the sixth should present absolutely no problems... wink

Looks like the case so far - Naomi taking the first with relative ease.

It can be easy to overlook just how strange grass court tennis can feel. The timings are so different, footwork can be trickier etc. Hopefully Naomi can capitalise for now though.
