Unfortunately Ewan's result has been reversed, but if the tournament's FaceBook page has got it right today all three of our players left in the draw won through. However the second seed awaits Jonathan, while Ryan only got one game against Riffice last week and Emily's opponent won her last (G2) event

Boys R2

Ryan James Storrie d. (15) Alex De Minaur (AUS) 6-1 6-4
Jonathan Gray d. (13) Louis Wessels (GER) 2-6 6-3 6-1

R3

Sam Riffice (USA) v Ryan James Storrie
Jonathan Gray v (2) Marcelo Tomas Barrios Vera (CHI)

Girls R2

(9) Emily Arbuthnott d. Haruna Arekawa (JPN) 6-3 6-3

R3

(7) Anastasia Gasanova (RUS) v (9) Emily Arbuthnott

It looks like Ryan had a good win (according to FaceBook) avenging last week's heavy defeat with a 6-1 6-4 scoreline

Emily squeaks through a tight match, and should gain a Special Exempt for Roland Garros in the process. The qualifying draw for RG is out, without Emily, and there appears to be only one player left in the singles here with precedence for an SE over Emily.

Boys R3

Ryan James Storrie d. Sam Riffice (USA) 6-1 6-4
(2) Marcelo Tomas Barrios Vera (CHI) d. Jonathan Gray 6-4 6-3

QF

Ryan James Storrie v (12) Tim Sandkaulen (GER)

Girls R3

(9) Emily Arbuthnott d. (7) Anastasia Gasanova (RUS) 4-6 7-6(4) 6-2

QF

(9) Emily Arbuthnott v (3) Luisa Stefani (BRA)

Again assuming FaceBook is correct career best tournaments for both, and a top 20 scalp for Emily to boot

Boys QF

Ryan James Storrie d. (12) Tim Sandkaulen (GER) 6-4 6-3

SF

Ryan James Storrie v (3) Mikael Ymer (SWE) or (9) Nathan Ponwith (USA)

Girls QF

(9) Emily Arbuthnott d. (3) Luisa Stefani (BRA) 4-6 6-4 6-4

SF

(9) Emily Arbuthnott v (13) Elena Rybakina (RUS)

Ryan continues to be the junior boy that most interests me.

He didn"t make it onto my list in the "who excites you" thread. But he definitely interests me

Love to be able to promote him sometime.

Very well done to both him and Emily.

Ryan is a talent and it's no surprise he is doing well. I'd put him down as very solid, especially defensively rather than a shot maker.

have you actually seen him play ? Live?

I know that he's completely changed his regime and training since moving back to the UK and it's having a major impact on his game (although I've only seen streams so I'm going off hearsay and what I've been told).

Great show by both him and Emily A (a tough ask for Ryan though if it's Ymer - although don;t know Ponwith - he may be even better!).

Ymer and Ponwith are both tough asks. Ponwith is the kind of player, based on what I've read from Colette Lewis, who would be getting quite a lot of attention were he not in the same cohort as Mmoh, Tiafoe, Kozlov, Paul, et al.

Edit: Typing that, I actually wonder whether some of the younger US boys and girls are underranked as a consequence of the country's having such a strong group of players that it's been hard (until some of them started playing seniors) to make an impact in the big US junior tournaments. Indeed, briefly looking at the ATP rankings, the USA 17 to 19s include more than a dozen in the top 1000 (figures unspecific because I was going quickly and may have missed some) starting with Jared Donaldson, already at 153 and rising.

Yes - at the Wirral 15k earlier this year.

It was the highly touted Ymer (brother to Elias, who reached the Roland Garros main draw), but no joy today for either Ryan or Emily

Boys SF

(3) Mikael Ymer (SWE) d. Ryan James Storrie 6-4 6-1

Girls SF

(13) Elena Rybakina (RUS) d. (9) Emily Arbuthnott 6-3 7-5
