Oh dear. I "posted" that ages ago, but again must have forgotten to press "post". I've done that a few times recently, I think I'm ready for the funny farm.
6-4. 1 all. Meanwhile, for whoever wins, Ferrer is ahead of Cilic by 6-2 6-2. I take back anything I may have said about Ferrer being a preferred QF opponent.
I saw a bit of Ferrer when I was in Paris and he is looking serene again like the Ferrer from 3 years ago. It will be tough although Murray not playing too well at the moment 1-4 down in 2nd
L16: (3) Andy Murray WR 3 defeated Jérémy Chardy (FRA) WR 45 by 6-4 3-6 6-3 6-2
A not exactly untroubled victory...

QF: (3) Andy Murray WR 3 vs (7) David Ferrer WR 8 (CH = 3 in July 2013)
The head-to-head is 9-6 in Andy's favour. They've met four times on clay, though not for some time, & Ferrer's won them all (at the same stage at R-G in 2012, the Madrid Masters in 2010, the Rome Masters, also in 2010, & Barcelona in 2006)! In those four matches, Andy's taken precisely two sets off him!
Another day, another dollar. He says he thought he played well - not on first serve, Andy! But winning when not playing well is the sign of a good player. I confess I'm worried about Duracell Dave, though.
David Ferrer's second serve is really being attacked here, Murray has definitely spotted the weakness. Ferrer winning most of his 1st service points though...
