I wondered that too. Maybe they put the wrong amount of points for a grade A runner up?
Yes, the issue does appear to be with Katie's recent Mexican Grade A singles and doubles runner-up points and the previous 985.00 would appear to be correct.
Selecting Katie's points, the Mexican Grade A has counted the Grade A bonus points that the ITF site says only applies to the Youth Olympics, Italian Open ( Trofeo Bonfiglio ) and Orange Bowl.
So unless there has been a change in respect of the Abierto Juvenil Mexicano the latest points change is wrong. Strange ...
So according to her tweet Katie isn't going to be defending her AO points but has some exciting news...Fed Cup call up maybe?
The quote is " Fro the people asking, the reason i'm not playing Aus Open is because I need a training block + some exciting news yet to come"
This was on the back of Andy Murray saying see you in Australia.
I suspect the big news is she will be turning professional and playing 25K+ on the tour using some of those exemptions - or it could be totally un-tennis related.
Vondousova is not playing and drops 225pts with 100pts to replace -so will finish on 1153.75pts Kenin has 312.5pts to defend in singles and a lowest counter of 50pts in doubles Galfi has no points to defend and lowest scorer of 30pts in singles and 45pts in doubles Swan has no points to defend and lowest scorer of 80pts in singles and 30pts in doubles Blinkova is not playing - nothing to defend Arconada - no singles points to defend, lowest scorer of 75pts, 100p doubles points to defend Mihalikova - no singles points to defend, lowest scorer of 20pts, 150 doubles points to defend The last three girls have not entered

Katie will finish the year as junior world number 3 after Mihalikova's elimination in the singles yesterday. Canadian Bianca Andreescu (15), American Kayla Day (16) and Russian Anastasia Potapova (14) can all claim the number 4 spot if they win the Orange Bowl and all can get within 70 points of Katie. Andreescu and Potapova in particular would probably be among Swan's biggest rivals to claim the junior number 1 spot next season.

Katie of course will drop a whole big heap of points by not defending her Australian Open points and it is very unclear how much juniors she will play generally in 2016, and presumably unclear with many of the other leading girls too.
As the year progresses the top ranked girls may largely become some rather newer kids on the block.
