That's a pretty good draw. Obvious possible troubles are Donald Young and Kevin Anderson; otherwise, the 5-8 seed is the the best bar Ferrer, and I fancy Berdych to make the semis over Nadal. Other interesting propositions are Jack Sock and The Kokk.

Those seedings are based on the rankings 2 weeks ago, i.e. the same rankings as used for the Indian Wells seedings.

Rather uniquely the rankings traditionally used for seeding IW and Miami are the rankings for the start week ( rather than the previous week ). That was done for IW, but not Miami !!?

It doesn't look as if it has much effect on what seedings band players would be in, though I do see that Monfils is seed no 16 seed and Robredo no 17, and they are ranked 19 and 18 respectively so on today's rankings would be seeded the other way round, as seeds 17 and 16 respectively ( Federer and Cilic are not competing here ).

I'm not saying that they've ****ed up, but it isn't what normally happens for Miami.

Ah ha, it looks like the draw has actually been based on today's rankings and it is the quoted seedings on the drawsheet that are wrong.

For Robredo has been treated as a top 16 seed and Monfils not.

Relax, breath in ...

Best draw for Andy for a while. I hope he is the shape required mentally and physically to make the most of it. Kyle is obviously the potential banana skin!
