Andy took the second set 7-5 (just finished watching it on delayed). He was an early break up but was broken back for 5-5, then broke again and held for the match. Joao Sousa next, with Baghdatis the likely qf if he gets through Sousa. To be honest it would be a bit of a shock if he didn't.
Yup. I couldn't get to the computer for the start of the match, so when I did I rewound the livestream and watched from the start. I do like tennistv's winding back facility! Not much of a test, to be honest, if Baggy comes through his match he should be a harder task in the quarters.
felt quite sad when I saw Marcos had retired - he's one of my favourite players! it seems its due to cramping. the ATP website Dubai page says:
'Murray will next face lucky loser Borna Coric, who recovered from a 1-4 deficit in third set against wild card Marcos Baghdatis. The Cypriot retired due to cramping at 6-6(4/4) in the tie-break after nearly three hours of play.'
Draw has turned out decently for Andy I think. He should defend last year's Acapulco SF points and I think he has a fair chance of beating Fed if he can beat Coric.
