De Voest doesn't seem to have many good results, a few good challenger runs but nothing Andy should be scared off.

Also, look at it from the other angle - If this was Boggo Vs Malisse for example (same ranking difference) we'd all be bigging up Boggo's chances.

Andy needs to stay focussed on playing his game , and hopefully he should be OK.

Yes, I'm being selfish here. I would expect Andy to win, but I don't want him to be complacent and have a slow start, I want a straight 2 sets win.

If only because I go late night shopping on a Thursday night, and if he doesn't finish the match quickly I will miss the end!

I think Andy will have learned his lesson this time and also its about adjusting to the courts which i feel he will be more used to this time.

Bjorkman has not played very well in singles this year, but is no mug. So De Voest must have something about him. But I would expect Andy to have far too much for this lad who is a hundred places below him in the rankings.

No seeds left in Andy's half of the draw, and if I'm not mistaken he's the highest-ranked player of the remainder in that bottom section. The final is certainly attainable, although it will be very difficult.

I'd worry if he had to face Soderling again. He's due some revenge and he has shown he can hurt Andy. Still, Murray shouldn't fear any player in that tournament now. He can live with the best.

Since the likely finalist from the other half of the draw is a player he beat in straight sets last week, and in his half of the draw there's no-one who's ever beaten him, or who is ranked highher than him, then a certain level of confidence is justified ...

He's 6/1 to win it at the bookies ....

Oh late night shopping. I just now realised how much i miss late night shopping. where do you go? tesco?? oh man i miss late night shopping in tesco. i would go at 2 or 3 am and buy some hot bread and chocolate spread or some nice cheese. boohoo.

Yep, my nearest shop is a 24 hour Tesco. We go at such a ridiculous hour because he-who-must-be-obeyed likes to go late when the place isn't swarming with kids racing around (grumpy old man). And I don't like doing it all on my own because at 5'2" I can neither reach the things on the top shelves or down into the bottom corner of the trolley.

I agree. It's far more relaxing sauntering around a supermarket when there aren't noisy little brats running around and zillions of people getting in your way. There's a 24 hour Asda nearish to our uni that does the trick.

On paper this should be a comfortable win for Andy but mercifully sport is never that simple. Matches like this cannot be taken for granted but as long as Andy approaches it right I would expect a solid two set victory.
