RE: British Tour 2015

At Swansea, in the semis, Sam Price def. Harvey Shackleton 6-4 in the third, and Kyle Fellows def. Neil Cordon

So Sam plays Kyle in the final, the two top seeds.

In Glasgow, Bruce Strachan will play Marcus Walters in the final (Marcus has only lost 9 games in three matches)

Marcus won the final, 6-3 6-2

Will be interesting to see what he gets up to next year too - along with our other 98s.

Marcus is obviously no longer focusing at all on juniors (was JWR 207 a while back and has played very little junior tennis this year).

So maybe we'll see him a lot more in adult tennis next year? Although he's still pretty young.....

Evan Hoyt has obviously decided that one week's rest was all he needed from his exploits in Tunisia and is playing the British Tour event in Taunton this week.

As is Andy Bettles, as warm up maybe before his first ITF for a long while coming up (with coaching now over for the time being).

Adam TB, Marcus Walters, George Davies, Piers Farhang and Chris Anguelov are the other ATP ranked players taking part.

Well done, Evan.

And interesting to see that Marcus has won a lot of matches recently - he's one of our top 1998s, alongside Jay and Ryan and Alexis, but obviously has decided that he's had enough of juniors. Each to their own path......

There are 'big' names playing at the British Tour event in Loughborough this week.

Luke Bambridge is seeded number one, Josh WH is number two, Billy Harris is there (as well as youngster, Michael Shaw and interesting player, Lamar Bartely, and others).

Big prize cheques are on offer this week at the British Masters event (the one you have to qualify for as 'best of year' players).

In the mens, Dan Evans, Marcus Willis, Josh W-H, Billy Harris, Alex Jhun, Bloomers, Marcus Walters etc. etc. are all taking part, and have all won their first round.

Bloomers-Recci tomorrow should be an interesting match-up of youth vs experience, while Billy Harris against Clay Crawford is one I'll be keeping an eye on.
