Hopefully his position as the biggest tennis representative will lead to some personalized, decent kits. As you say, some of those Adidas ones were awful.
Not worth opening a new thread - but if anybody doesn't already know, Andy is kicking off his 2015 in the Abu Dhabi exho today - he is playing Feliciano Lopez who replaced Monfils. 1pm and I understand it will be on Eurosport for those who have it. I will have to search for a dodgy livestream.
Just to tie it into this thread - I believe he will be wearing some of his new kit, but possibly only the practice kit. They haven't really had much time to design the full range, I suppose.
I missed nearly all the match, but Andy just thrashed Nadal 6-2 6-0. What a pity it is just an exho and doesn't count! Ok, it was Rafa's first match for a while so he was probably rusty, but he usually comes back after lay-offs with all guns blazing.

Andy was aggressive like the old Andy he was all over Rafa Good start to the year
For all the talk of variety, I saw some classic backhand and forehand peppering that were reminiscent of 2013 under Lendl. Early days, and an exho, but still all rather positive.
So Andy gets a 2nd win over a Top 4 player in 2 days, as Novak withdraws with a high temperature. Seems like Nole got his withdrawal in 1st as apparently Andy was suffering from a sore shoulder yesterday.
Not a great outcome for the sponsors and the crowd.
Not a good way to win, but if the shoulder is a problem not playing a no doubt long match against Djokovic could be a good thing.
It seems that a scan of the shoulder showed nought amiss. It's just sore. Perhaps just the stresses & strains of match play after his winter training block? Hope so anyway. Good job it's not the right shoulder...

From the Beeb site:
Andy Murray shrugged off his recent shoulder problem to lead Great Britain to a 2-1 win against holders France on the second day of the Hopman Cup in Perth.
Murray defeated Benoit Paire 6-2 7-5 at the Perth Arena, and teamed up with Heather Watson [pictured above] to beat Paire and Alize Cornet in the decisive mixed doubles tie.
"It's a bit sore, if it was my right shoulder it would probably be quite hard for me to play," Murray said. "I don't feel it on my ground strokes so much, I feel it when I'm serving. I had an ultrasound scan in Abu Dhabi and it was absolutely clear but it's still quite sore.
"Hopefully it will calm down. Maybe it's playing matches again after a little break, maybe I've just got it in the wrong position and tweaked something a little bit, but I should be fine."
