Glad to see Wardy has managed to avoid slipping off the rankings altogether with his win today. His only other 8 points were due to drop off next Monday which would have left him with PR status and nothing else.
Guess I had better make him a candidate for my Top 500 challenge.
Now that Wardy has won his first matches back, whats everybody's predictions for how high he can reclimb in the rankings? I seem to have super powers as a jinxer and tempter of fate so I dont want to put a number on it but I've got a sneaking suspition he is going to do quite well?

I think that he will be below 350 at year end.
... and outside the GB top 10 men.
(Because otherwise he will mess up my predictions)
James has just tweeted this:
Knee surgery went well this morning, had no other options left!!Rehab and hard work coming up to be back on court in the new year..#newknee
Hope it all goes well for James and he is back fighting fit in the new year.
I no longer think James a possible Davis Cup player in the first half of next year or likely next year at all.
And by 2019 hopefully Cam and Jay will have progressed a fair bit further and Evo will be back on the scene. But, whatever, James certainly played his Davis Cup part, particularly twice vs USA when it was maybe really needed with them having such a strong doubles pair.
Anyway, before it sounds like his tennis obituary, I still do look forward to him at least back playing for himself.

No recent news regarding James and his recovery from injury. Last I could see was from November and a hope to be back by February. Anyone know what his protected rank is for when he comes back? I notice hes about to turn 31 lets hope he can have a few more years on the court yet.
