Been a very good year for Katy and hopefully she will now sneak into the top 300 before her 30 ( net 27 ) points still to come off this year will then as things stand drop her back out for now and behind Emily and Tara ( and possibly yet Katie ) at the year end unless she goes picking up more points somewhere.
I would expect both Katy and Katie to properly storm into the top 300 fairly early next year.
Don't worry, you don't have to feel responsible for my mistakes - I would have credited you in the tweet had I not been following live scores around the same time (i.e. I also didn't see the set point and worked back from the number of points Kostova won in a row) and come to the same conclusion, though it's fair to say I probably would have rechecked more carefully before tweeting if you hadn't posted the same thing here!
Both missing the start of Kostova's run of points and then working back probably wasn't the biggest coincidence yesterday (although maybe us both getting it wrong was!) - that was Stircrazy and I posting the same singles result within seconds of each other hours after a match (I can't remember which one it was now) had finished

Yeah I assumed Kostova winning the last 3 points of the game at 5-3* means she had been 30-40, or advantage down, but actually she could have just held with a run of points from 15-15 or 15-30 too.
On the TF live rankings Katy has slipped to 301 following a couple of wins for lower ranked players in the South American 50k, but she might just get there next week.
Ah, I see what that's about. I remember reading Paul's original and thinking that from that info it just meant Kostova had won the last 3 points of that game and that didn't necessarily mean a set point was involved.
Yeah Indy the other issue was that I couldn't remember what Katy's break point conversion % was the last time I checked, but was sure it had gone up, so put 2 + 2 together and got 5.
