Is that his first top-5 win since that tournament?

Well, I'm absolutely chuffed that he fought to win and massive props to him. He still has so much to work on but he can be proud of that one.

Let's hope your theory re confidence boosting from yesterday's post turns out to be true. And have the energiser bunnies' batteries really run out ?

Let's hope so! Either way, I'm skeptical as to whether or not Kohli would have let Andy off at times. But hopefully this will help if they do meet again!

Decent match. Andy fell into the Ferrer trap in the first set, by staying defensive and making more errors.

Much better in sets 2 & 3 when he was more aggressive.

My main concern is when the first serve falls down, but it was a bit more consistent today.

Great win for Andy back surgery finishes careers. 2014 was always going to be a case of sucking it and seeing what happened. Not really bothered about wether he qualifies or not, although qualification is good in that he is rehabilitating on all fronts. I am very hopeful that should he stay fit through his winter training block he will be in the right place to attack 2015/16 like he did 12/13 but AD waits for no man (well perhaps just Roge)
