What happened with Troicki, why is he so low in the rankings?

He had a lengthy ban for refusing a drug test on the grounds that he was afraid of needles. . . as though he must not have had them many times before!

I had to pause the livestream at 1 all in the second set to prepare dinner, so now I'll watch how it went.

I believe that he worried that his needle phobia would be exacerbated by feeling unwell and being affected by the sun, thus resulting in fainting.

You just don't refuse drug tests and get away with it, whatever the reason, otherwise they would all develop phobias. . . anyway, that is all in the past now.

Of course, I was simply clarifying for those who may not have read the facts of the case. smile

Andy is first up tomorrow at 1pm UK time. Hmmm, I'll have to talk the Other Half into having an early lunch. . .

Not a lot you can say about Andy's performances so far. Two pretty easy matches where he didn't play well but easily did enough to win without much fuss. I would like to see a bit more intensity tomorrow as while he should beat Troicki fairly easily a better performance will be needed on Sunday.

First set taken by Andy 6-4. Only tuned in at 4-4 I believe so I haven't seen too much of how Andy is doing.

Andy takes the first set 6-4, but some ups and downs in there.

Returning and net play has been good. Serving as iffy as ever and has been mostly passive in the baseline rallies.

All in all not really great but seems to be doing enough, as he has been all week really.

Immediate break up in the second.
