Looks as if Stu Fraser has generally just added the R1 45 points ( although even that doesn't quite work for Andy ) rather than taking account of existing "6th best others". Tut tut.
He has got the current "live" points incorrect for Berdych (3510), Murray (3430) and Dimitrov (3360).
I have said this before: that site is frequently wrong. I know MTF does not have a very good reputation as far as "General Messages" goes, but Slasher on there runs rankings lists that are very rarely wrong (usually only when the ATP decides not to give penalties because a player has fulfilled other obligations, not easily verified). The Race ranking list is at https://onedrive.live.com/view.aspx?resid=29EC224593D363F0%2113631&id=documents&activeCell=%27ATP%20Race%27!G6 There is a live entry list too, I'll supply the URL if anybody wants it.
Andy's position starting to look a bit better, however as things stand he is only playing Shanghai and Paris after this week where as his rivals have the following schedules
Berdych - Shanghai, Stockholm (250) and Paris
Raonic - Shanghai, Moscow (250), Basel (500) and Paris
Ferrer - Shanghai, Valencia (500) and Paris
Dimitrov - Shanghai, Stockholm (250), Basel (500) and Paris
I guess the question is, dependant on how the rest of this week and next week goes, how he generally feels physically and how much he really wants to play in the WTF, will there be a WC request coming for one of the ATP 500s ( or even an ATP 250 ) ? His 6th other counter is going to be just 20, so he has rather a lot to potentially gain pointswise.
Next week in Shanghai, Andy will be a no 9 to 12 seed, so willl be scheduled to meet a 5 to 8 seed in the L16 with these seeds including some of his immediate race rivals.

After playing 3 straight weeks in China I can't see any circumstances where he plays the week after Shanghai but Basel or Valencia must be possibilities. If he really needs points the latter looks the more sensible option as he would be 4th seed behind Ferrer, Cilic and Nishikori. In Basel he would be 6th seed behind Nadal, Federer, Wawrinka, Raonic and Dimitrov.
Damn, damn, damn. With Andy losing today and Raonic and Nishikori both getting into the Tokyo final, things are looking difficult again. I haven't much hope that Klizan will pull off another big win and beat Berdych. And have you seen Andy's Shanghai draw? In Djokovic's quarter! And with Janowicz and Ferrer other likely opponents in the same quarter.
It was close but Kei came through in 3 tight sets so Andy ends the week 175 points off 8th place. Still in the hunt but unless he has a very good week in Shanghai he will probably have to take a wild card into Basel or Valencia if he wants to give himself a real chance of making the WTF.
