Good, that's what I was getting. Let's just say that if Andy doesn't win a match in Paris and then doesn't qualify for the WTF he would be remarkably unlucky !!
Clearly playing Vienna was a masterstroke in spite of some of our doubts that it might have been better saving himself for Paris. It might have gone wrong, but the essential thing Andy can point to is that it most certainly did not !
Would be nice to reach the QF in Paris and basically qualify totally on his own merits, and then with over a week to go until London see how Duracell Andy is then feeling.

At least Fed has got past Chardy in 3 sets and is still standing as a potential Raonic blocker at the QF stage if needed.
( even if Andy loses to Dimitrov, part of the still very unlikely scenario that could put him out of the WTF is the bottom half SF being Raonic beating Berdych ).
Tommy did his best, but Nishikori won 6-7(4) 6-2 6-3
So into the Thursday of the last counting event and only half the WTF field is confirmed. No doubt the ATP are glad that it's back to a week between Paris and the WTF !
The most satisfying way for Andy to finalise his place would be simply beating Dimitrov, but if he does not, he would have to wait another day if :
Dimitrov beat Murray AND
Nishikori beat Tsonga AND
Berdych beat Lopez AND
Raonic beat Bautista Agut
