Yeah but if he takes anything out of this match it'll be the tweener he just made at 30-0! Very funny, he's enjoying himself and he's actually quite good ot watch. Plays awkward.
I'm with Beefy, Kyles preferred and probably best surface is clay, I understand arguably it is the best surface on which to develop a young player, I would actually like to see an Autumn of clay challengers as foundation work prior to a period of rest than stamina strength training (ideally hitting with Andy if he will invite him again) aiming for a full on assault on RG qualifying. How Australian fits in for the time being I don't know, but they may invite him back to Chennai given his progress and he has started a relationship with the tournament organisers and then on to Australia.
Rumour is that Kyle is unlikely to get to train with Andy again due to the latter's dislike of Rusedski.
Oh dear, at 40-30 *2-2 Brydan has been on the wrong end of a line call and he's not taken it very well. Seeing the bad side of him now.
Oh, I don't mind a bit of arguing with the umpire - you've got to get the juices flowing - and the ball looked in to me. Disrespect to the opponent is something else but he wasn't doing that .. .
I couldn't really hear what he was saying but it just looked like a standard rant/complaint at a line call. Didn't personally think it was too bad but I may have missed something.
By all means have a moan but the length of time he took to make his point was a bit silly. Happens all the time in the matches I play but you just say 'I think you were wrong' and get on with it. Evens itself out. I'm really enjoying this match, high quality stuff.
And it's all gone wrong. 2 good service points from Mannarino then a DF from Brydan, a tame forehand into the net, then a volley winner for his opponent. GDM 6-2 7-6(6).
One SP saved with an excellent Mannarino shot. One return by Klein a bit too short, making it easy for the frenchman, a double fault where an aggressive second serve made sense but, with hindsight, didn't work . . and then the next two were always going one way.
Great set of tennis though.
