They really complement each other very well. When serving or returning Anna tends to drive hard from the back of the court and then move in to the net or to pick off an overhead. I never saw one of Anna's overheads returned. Joss is such a threatening presence at the net that there seems little of the net to available to their opponents to aim over. I never saw a single return down the line past Joss. When Joss is serving or returning she will sometimes drive but also quite often slice the ball deep before moving in. At the net the two seem very good at picking out spaces, sharp angles or their opponents heads or bodies. Several times I saw one of their opponents trying to fend off a body or head shot resulting in an immediate error or an easy put away. Black & Mirza only managed to hold three of their ten service games.
