There have been some long deuce games on Josh's serve in the last 2 sets, but Josh has won all the battles, and is running away with it on the Brazilian's serve: 5*-0
Josh wraps up a 4-6 6-3 6-0 win over the third seed, who follows the trend for Latin American clay court specialists to struggle on their first Wimbledon appearance
Josh is pretty happy at 'putting out the light' (igmc), as you would expect:
"Woooow! I just won my first round 4-6 6-3 6-0... My biggest ever win. He is ranked number 3 in the world, I just can't believe it.. Just wow. I'm so happy. The crowd were amazing and this is truly one of the best days of my life. I will let you know when my 2nd round is, thank you for all your support"
Clearly the Brazilian is a clay court specialist (you just have to look at his points breakdown), but it's still a huge scalp, especially coming from a set down, which suggests that Luz wasn't completely green on grass.

GB on a shirt, Davis Cup still gleaming, 79 years of hurt, never stopped us dreaming ... 29/11/2015 that dream came true!
I know they get to rest at least a day but in the nest round Josh is playing a Roumanian lad who only won 13-11 in the third set (and the second set went to a tie-break). He might well be pretty stiff !
Oddly Alex's match isn't on the schedule for Monday, even under the matches to be arranged section
