He opined that Andy had got a pretty horrendous draw, running through the names of Kohlschreiber, Gasquet, Wawrinka and Nadal without any real qualification, other than how good Wawrinka was these days.
He also briefly discussed how well Fed had come back into the mix, and was indeed number 2, 'maybe number 3 behind Wawrinka' in this year's race.
Try number 4, Greg, over 1000 points behind both these Nadal and Djokovic chappees and over 700 points behind Wawrinka.
Now, I am very well aware that, particularly away from talk football, info on Talksport from pundits and so-called experts can often diverge quite a bit from reality.
Meantime, Talksport's rugby expert eulogised over Jonny Wilkinson and his appearance today for Toulon in the Heineken Cup final, his final competitive match on 'English soil'.
I am currently listening to that match, taking place in the Millennium Stadium in Cardiff.
Much as I like Greg, he's always been a bit free and easy with stats and the like, even about himself (I think just because that's not the way his mind works rather than any more sinister reason!)

GB on a shirt, Davis Cup still gleaming, 79 years of hurt, never stopped us dreaming ... 29/11/2015 that dream came true!
Listening to the radio in French at 7am this morning while driving up to Paris, I heard several references to Federer. Now my French is almost non existent but I thought I might at least hear aujourd hui and then some names. So I listened intently for an hour and a half to some highly unrecognisable music before finally working out that the presenter was called Frederick Federer. Ho hum. I suppose it helped to pass the time.
Listening to radio - haven't heard Mary Pierce before as a commentator ... have others? Really like the way she comments - doesn't feel the need to talk all the time, but some interesting comments when she does. (At least in my opinion)
Grrr. I knew I had to be out, so tried to record Andy's match. According to ITVs schedule, the tennis was on ITV4 until 3pm, then on ITV3.
First, the DVR couldn't find ITV4. So I prayed for Andy's match to be late in starting and set the recorder for ITV3. Got home and what did I find? They left it on ITV4 for the whole match. . .
I paid for Eurosport player, hopefully I can rewind the stream and see it on there.
Certainly not Andy's best, but job done against a decent opponent in difficult conditions.
R2 always looked the likely most straightforward stage. Hopefully be better weather and Andy can get into some decent rhythm ( more chance of that now than had it been against Brown ! )
For some reason, I had prepared myself for Andy to be facing Brown in R64. Either way, all of the (admittedly condensed) statistics lend themselves to Matosevic's clay court record being his worst of all three surfaces. But then, I'm only basing that off of very limited data, including RG having his worse Grand Slam record, none of his ATP, Challenger or Future finals being on clay and his performance in clay Masters being poor also.
