Oh well! Andy Murray should win tomorrow and this has to be an encouraging match for the doubles assuming we make it through to play against France in the Quarterfinals in July. So nearly a fairytale though. And it would have been nice to give Liam and Kyle the chance to both get a rubber tomorrow.
A little worried about Murray - Isner but I'm just a worrier. Murray's emotional fatigue must be nothing on Isner's, who after all played that 5 hour match only to come out on the losing end of it.
Yes, I was wondering if and when a team had come back to win two rubbers from two sets down in a single Davis Cup tie #GBspirit #cantmakeupmymindrehashtagsinposts
didn't see the match as I was asleep (due to working) but having read all the comments it does seem Dom and Jamie played really well. was pleased to see that Leon choose them both for the doubles and tend to think that even if Andy had played the result would have been the same (but who knows). the Bryans were always going to be very tough to beat in any DC tie. wonder if they've ever lost a DC tie. so well done to Dom and Jamie and another shout for Leon - an inspiring leader :) Team GB
Fantastic effort and a great advert for doubles! However, as a doubles fan I was seriously irked by the BBC commentators opinion that " doubles is dead", based on the fact that the public want to watch "big" names play and the "big names don't play the tour doubles".
How many of the public would even know who the top doubles team in the world are? How many would know any of our doubles guys? And why is that....because it gets no TV exposure!
Cause and effect surely...show it on TV and the big doubles names would get known, then more people would watch as they know who the players are, and how entertaining it can be. Does annoy me how tournaments on TV completely ignore the doubles...sorry, rant over!
